Help Build A More Caring, Connected World:
Join Learning Life’s Advisory Council
Learning Life‘s Advisory Council members have substantial professional experience, and help advise and connect Learning Life’s staff and volunteers in one or more of the main domains in which Learning Life works:
- Education
- Diplomacy
- Democracy
- Family
Council members are expected to (a) engage in one-on-one or group discussions, as needed and per each member’s availability, via email or Zoom, applying their expertise and connections to help advance Learning Life’s work, and (b) make a donation of $100 to $1,000 per year to support our work. Unlike Board of Advisors and Board of Directors members (Board details here), Council members do not have to attend regular meetings. Each Council member also serves as long as it is mutually agreeable to the member and Learning Life, and can unilaterally end their membership at any time.
In serving on the Council, members have the opportunity to deepen their nonprofit leadership experience, make valuable local to global connections, and help build an innovative nonprofit working to advance education, democracy and diplomacy. Council members receive Learning Life’s monthly e-news, plus invitations to events, and are recognized as Council members with their bio and picture at Learning Life’s People Page.
Individuals interested in serving on the Advisory Council should send their resume to paul@learninglife.info, and indicate 2-3 times in the coming days that they are free to talk with Learning Life’s Founder & Director, Paul Lachelier. Paul will respond to schedule a meeting via Zoom if there appears to be a good fit.
