Learning Life is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on developing inclusive learning communities in order to widen and deepen participation in democracy and diplomacy for our interdependent yet divided world. Learning Life’s DMV Democracy Learning Community (DLC) exists to strengthen democracy in the U.S. capital region. 

Businesses, nonprofits, foundations, and individual leaders that become DLC sponsors not only help widen and deepen civic engagement, but become part of a community of capable, connected and caring DC area professionals interested in learning, networking and collaborating to strengthen democracy.   

Bronze Sponsor ($500):

  1. Free entry for two persons to one Democracy Dinner.
  2. Listing as a Bronze Sponsor, including logo, at the DMV Democracy Festival, the DMV Democracy Dispatch, and via Learning Life email and social media.
  3. 50% off advertising in one quarterly issue of the DMV Democracy Dispatch.

Silver Sponsor ($1,000):

  1. Free entry for four persons to one or more Democracy Dinners.
  2. Opportunity to speak at one Democracy Dinner.
  3. Listing as a Silver Sponsor, including logo, at the DMV Democracy Festival, the DMV Democracy Dispatch, and via Learning Life email and social media.
  4. Priority listing in the public “DMV Democracy Organizations & Individuals” database.
  5. Free advertising in one quarterly issue of the DMV Democracy Dispatch.

Gold Sponsor ($2,500):

  1. Free entry for ten persons to one or more Democracy Dinners.
  2. Opportunity to speak at three Democracy Dinners in a given year.
  3. Listing as a Gold Sponsor, including logo, at the DMV Democracy Festival, the DMV Democracy Dispatch, and via Learning Life email and social media.
  4. Priority listing in the public “DMV Democracy Organizations & Individuals” database.
  5. Free advertising in two quarterly issues of the email DMV Democracy Dispatch.
  6. Option to be profiled in the DMV Democracy Dispatch and at Learning Life’s website. Here is an example of an individual sponsor profile, and here is an example of an organizational sponsor profile.  In the latter case, profiles can be made to focus strictly on your organization.

Platinum Sponsor ($5,000): 

  1. Free entry for twenty persons to one or more Democracy Dinners.
  2. Opportunity to speak at five Democracy Dinners.
  3. Listing as a Platinum Sponsor, including logo, at the DMV Democracy Festival, the DMV Democracy Dispatch, and via Learning Life email and social media.
  4. Most prominent listing in the public “DMV Democracy Organizations & Individuals” database.
  5. Free advertising in all four quarterly issues of the email DMV Democracy Dispatch.
  6. Opportunity to speak at DemFest’s culminating celebration, or the Youth Summit on Youth Policymaking.
  7. Option to be profiled in the DMV Democracy Dispatch and at Learning Life’s website.
Note: For the Democracy Dinners, please RSVP at least seven days in advance of your chosen Dinner date(s).  Once you RSVP, dinner details will come via email closer to your Dinner date(s).

Sponsors can be individuals or organizations.  All benefits above are for one year from the date of the sponsorship contribution.

Sponsors in the USA have the choice of 100% tax deduction (including listing as a sponsor in the DLC Dispatch and DLC Linkedin Group), or no tax deduction but all the benefits listed above.

All DLC Sponsors receive the email DMV Democracy Dispatch.

Sponsor ads must be non-partisan, and of interest to DMV Democracy Dispatch subscribers.  Learning Life reserves sole decision-making authority in approving ads.
