The 2026 Democracy Dinner Dates
Learning Life is pleased to announce the 2026 DMV Democracy Dinner dates and topics, as follows:
- February 21: Fostering partnerships between DMV universities and the DMV Democracy Learning Community
- April 25: Strengthening democracy in the DMV through civic games
- June 27: Developing DMV democracy markets
- August 22: Getting DMV 8th-12th graders involved in policy making
- November 14: Connecting DMV schools and communities through civic education
The Dinner dates are all on Saturdays, 6-9pm, and usually take place in Washington, DC.
The five 2026 Dinners will focus on fostering collaboration with interested stakeholders in the DMV Democracy Learning Community (DLC), including the Dinners, the Democracy Festival, and the DMV Youth Summit on Youth Policymaking.

Launched in 2019 with the Democracy Dinners, the DLC works to make democracy more engaging and inclusive by connecting professionals, publics and policymakers in the Washington DC region via social events, products, services and spaces that nurture fun, learning, networking, collaboration and wider, deeper citizen participation.
